STAMFORD (FAIRFIELD COUNTY) CT: Through a grant from the Pitney Bowes Foundation, Stamford Cradle to Career (SC2C) expanded its data collection capacity and continued its efforts to provide resources, best practices, and processes to give every child a chance for success.

Through a national StriveTogether Cradle to Career framework, Stamford Cradle to Career (SC2C) uses a collective impact model to ensure that all Stamford children succeed in their education, career, and life. The year-over-year support from the Pitney Bowes Foundation provides SC2C with the capacity to engage in robust and transparent data practices to address the city-wide achievement gap.

“Stamford Cradle to Career plays a unique role in the community, a role that is only possible because of our capacity to collect and analyze data,” said Edith Presley, President of Stamford Cradle to Career.

“Pitney Bowes values our work and understands the importance of capacity building grants. Thanks to their generosity, we can use data as a driving force behind what we do and how we do it.”

Stamford Cradle to Career’s data collection is focused on two key initiatives:

1) gathering population level data indicators and working to align the community around improving those data points;

2) working with Stamford Public Schools and nonprofit providers to use data to identify interventions that are having positive impacts on children's educational outcomes, to improve interventions that are not working well, and to identify and fill gaps.

The ongoing investment from Pitney Bowes ensures that Stamford Cradle to Career can continue to improve programming and better prepare Stamford students for success.
